Syntec 6550 Technical Datasheet

SYNTEC–6550 is a Flouorpolymer based, water and oil repellant that locks Inspecta-Shield Fire Retardant into fabrics that may be subjected to use in an exterior environment.

SYNTEC-6550 is non-flammable so it will not diminish the fire retardant properties of those items that have been treated with Inspecta-Shield fire retardant.

Developed for the after-market treatment of your Tents, Canopies, Awnings, Banners, Gazebo Covers and/or Upholstery along with other natural and synthetic fabrics that do not have a DWR applied factory finish.

SYNTEC 6550 is also an excellent water repellant treatment for lumber.

There is no need for heat setting SYNTEC-6550. You simply apply by a spray application and allow to air dry.

SYNTEC-6550 is sold in a concentrated formula that is easily diluted with water. (“A little goes a long way”)

8 oz. of SYNTEC-6550 mixed with one gallon of water will treat approximately 500 square feet of fabric. That’s a 15: 1 Dilution Rate (Coverage rates are based on typical cotton sheeting with a 90% to 100% wet weight pick up, heavier weight fabrics may require additional material).

One gallon of SYNTEC-6550 Concentrate can treat up to 7500 square feet of fabric. The cost for protection is just Pennies Per Square Foot.

SYNTEC-6550 is packaged in 55 gallon Drums, 5 gallon Pails and Single Gallons* (minimum 2 gallon order).
*Single gallon orders are welcome and will subject to a repackaging fee.

No Sticky or Smelly Solvents, and best of all No Aerosol cans to dispose of.
